The flipbooks below provide information about Charles Darwin’s life. Much of the text of each comes from his correspondence, his diaries, and his autobiography. I am compiling all these flipbooks (except for the “Crossing the Equator” book) into a series of on-line presentations by Mr. Darwin that I have entitled “Revolutionary.” Stay tuned for this as I hope to post those videos soon. The text of the “Crossing the Equator” book comes entirely from Darwin’s beagle diary and describes his experience of a Royal Navy tradition to hold a ceremony to honor the god Neptune when a ship crosses the Equator for the first time during its voyage. It was quite an experience for him and his fellow ship-mates ultimately were relatively nice to him.
